Choose your life’s colors
Waking up in the middle of the night stressed and filled with anxious thoughts. Sensations of heaviness and constriction in my chest, abdominal area and throat make my heartbeat faster. This is not unfamiliar.
I am questioning my decisions, once more.
Scarcity mindset (fear for lack of money) and self-doubts around my ability to create money for myself or deal with potential financial losses, is involved once more in those thoughts. I cannot fall asleep.
Why am I making financial decisions with full confidence in one moment and worry about them the next?, I ponder. No answer.
I dwell in this for a few moments. Then I choose to snap out of it, knowing that those thoughts won’t help me. I direct my mind to think better thoughts. Mental reframing however, doesn’t seem to have a lasting effect in those moments. Instead it feels like you are dismissing the feeling and that makes it worse.
So, I stayed with it, without questioning it. Simply with the curiosity to understand it and the openness to allow it be there. It’s not there to hurt me, it’s not my enemy. It’s just a strong indicator to remind me that there are still strong scarcity mindset underlying beliefs which run the show at times. Those beliefs were not mine, I learned them and I adopted them as mine over the years.
Life has been nothing but generous with me when it comes to money and my ability to create the life I want, yet those fearful beliefs are so deeply entrenched in my psyche. In addition, I pick them up from people around me all the time. This makes it even harder for my mind to discharge them as non valid or unhelpful.
But I am up for the challenge. I have no other choice at this point. I cannot unsee what I see or not know what I know. Learning is one thing, knowing is another. The latter involves intuition and wisdom gained though lived experience. And that makes all the difference for me. It’s a process, a journey without a clear map, yet I am on it and I trust is for my highest good.

Our world at large is run by this scarcity mindset which is heavily played out around the concept of recourses (incl. money). Constantly, not feeling safe that we have enough, worrying that we may lose what we have, worrying that we’ll suffer if we lose what we have (people, money, possessions, health, etc.). These are real ancestral wounds we all carry within us and it’s time we face them head on and release these fears from our bodies, minds and society at large. Not that these are not real possibilities in life. Many of our ancestors- if not ourselves- have experienced them in some way or form. Yet our fears about these potential outcomes restrict and run our lives. Because, in a world of endless possibilities we invest all our energy and focus on the ones that we don’t want! How logical is that? How does it serve us as a society so far?
Relaxing and eventually releasing those fears is possible through working around the underlying fearful beliefs of the scarcity mindset that generate those fears in the first place. This requires us doing the inner work so that we can act from a place of love and abundance mindset. And until it’s set it requires as to consciously (and many times unwillingly) choose to act from this place. Otherwise nothing can change for us and for the world at large. Because whenever we act out of fear and scarcity, this is what we recreate, this is what we attract, this is what we believe to be true.
It’s time we evolve past this fearful and restrictive mindset. It’s time we remember the unlimited abundance of life and trust in our capacity to (re)create all the resources we need exactly when we need them, in miraculous ways.
We need to be mindful that whenever we choose less conventional (largely acceptable) ways of being, the “how ? ” is our greatest challenge. How am I going to be able to afford a living without a “real” job? This “how ?” is what blocks our minds from believing in the realm of endless possibilities and trust that things are always working out for us, for our expansion and growth. Failure or setbacks will always happen. These are also part of the journey. But we’ve taught, sadly, to be afraid of these. Yet, these are also part of our expansion and growth. These are actually the moments where we grow exponentially, as long as we are willing to learn the lesson they offer.
For when you discover your inner source of safety and trust in yourself, life with all its challenges seems like a fun playground.
No fear, just life.
