Once upon a time…
…there was someone that dared to choose life over fear.
It was not really a choice, rather an urge and need to allow themselves to embody their natural state of being; be who they are and embrace and honor what truly makes them happy, fulfilled and content. Little did they know where life will lead them, yet they didn’t give it a lot of thought and so, off they went to live life their way. Afterall, this felt so natural and easy. And why wouldn’t it? That’s the natural state of a living being…

Life is for the ones who dare to live (i.e. experience) it fully.
Unfortunately, the vast majority of us don’t fall in this category at this point in time…
We come to this world with so much zest and curiosity to live and experience all that life has to offer. But before we even get to experience much - if anything at all- we interact with other people…those who came in this life before us. The people that have already met also the ‘negative’ and painful side of life. And those people, with all their good intentions, rush in quickly to instill in us the same ‘protective mechanism’ they have adopted by their ancestors as well: The avoidance of (potential) physical and emotional suffering, i.e. fear for life!
A generalized, compulsive and (many times) unjustified fearful attitude towards life’s experiences. This is the kind of fear that imprisons our spirit under the illusion of temporary security and safety. The safety a ‘good enough’ life promises at the cost of life itself.
Because, sadly, settling for a ‘good enough’ life is eventually more harmful and painful and it ultimately leads to greater suffering, bitterness, resentment and regret.
You see, life without pain is also a life without true joy. It is a numbed life. It lacks authenticity, uniqueness, richness and adventure. And it ultimately lacks meaning and purpose.
So, choose wisely. Dare to live the life you came here to live. With all its ups and downs, with all its blissful and terrifying moments. Trust in your ability to succeed in this mission no-matter what life throws on you.
Your life is sacred. You’ve signed up for this.
Honor your soul’s contract and live life the way only you can. Stop abandoning yourself. Listen to your inner calling, needs and desires. You have those for a reason.
