In between worlds…

When you are in a process of change, there is always one (or more) recalibration period(s) before the ‘new’ self takes over complete control. This is primarily when old fears, behaviors and thought patterns come again to the surface to be faced, processed with a different accepted and released.

I am currently in (another) such process and I admit it is not pleasant.

It feels like going back and forth, shifting between identities. It feels like having multiple personalities. At times it feels like nothing has changed. I become discouraged. I lose faith in myself and I question my progress and my ability to move towards my dreams and goals.

I am not perfect. I never was and I will never be(come). And that is perfectly fine. All I can do, -and all anyone can do in a similar position- is:

Connecting to and honoring my truth in every situation - or at least as often as possible- (without judgment); Not fully there yet but I definitely see great progress.

Redirecting my thoughts and behavior towards self-empowerment,

Setting boundaries- preserving my time and energy is of paramount importance for protecting my inner peace and balance (yet this is where I often ‘fail’, as an old people pleaser);

Cultivating self-compassion and curiosity (instead of self blaming and judgment), embrace my insecurities and consciously choosing not act from them

Being patient with myself- Rome wasn’t built overnight, right?

Trusting the process AND myself - reassuring myself I am exactly where I need to be and acknowledging the fact that every step on the way serves my expansion-especially when it doesn’t feel like it-.

Persisting- giving up is not an option; keeping my eyes on my initial intention for this desired change - Why do I want this change in the first place?

So, if you also find yourself in a similar phase in your life, know that you are not alone.

I wish that the new year finds us all fully embodying our ‘new’ self. Afterall, miracles exist when you believe they do. And I choose to believe in miracles, do you?

Hey, there!

I am Eleni and I’m here to share with you my thoughts and insights.

My intention is to express myself openly and freely and get closer and closer to my own truth. My hope is this will also help you better understand yourself.

Although we all have a unique story, we’re also similar in many ways.
